As event planners, we know how overwhelming the planning process for an event can be. One of the most popular menu items at Ditch Plains - and our personal favorite - is the Ditch Dog. Ditch Dogs combine two of the most delicious and beloved American foods of all time into one savory snack: hot dogs and macaroni and cheese! Remember way back when mom would toss a box of mac and cheese with a sliced hot dog? Well the Ditch Dog is all that childhood nostalgia wrapped into one adult-size bite. There’s no powdered cheese or microwaving involved here; our Ditch Dogs are all beef hot dogs served on a toasted Martin’s potato bun, topped with gooey, homemade macaroni and cheese. (Fear not, vegetarians! Tofu dogs are also available).

Not only is the Ditch Dog a staple on our everyday menu, but also at several of our events. Bring your next tailgate indoors, and let us cater your game-viewing party with Ditch Dogs and other tasty snacks. Or bring out the kid in everyone at your next birthday celebration with Ditch Dogs for all. We also offer mini Ditch Dogs for our events, so you can get your dog on no matter the setting or occasion.

After the freezing temperatures this past weekend, it’s safe to say that winter has officially arrived in New York City. Rather than hibernating inside, buried under layers of sweaters and blankets, we were excited to host the spring preview party, Bikinis & Martinis, for Roxy clothing at Ditch Plains in the West Village. What a better way to forget the frosty air and bulky snow boots than with a party celebrating the new, fun surfer-inspired looks from Roxy? 

The Bikinis & Martinis event truly was like a trip to the beach in the middle of January. Our Ginger Fizz, Guava Guava, and English Margaritas were a refreshing and fruity treat; and our menu - mini lobster rolls, fried pickles, crab salad on endive, mini cheeseburgers, mini pizza margherita, mini cookies and mini red velvet cupcakes - was like that of your favorite summertime beach shack. Our flat screen TVs at Ditch Plains had Roxy’s cool video roll on loop all night, adding to the beachy feel of the night.
